    A quick (we promise) history lesson: In 1964, at the World’s Fair in New York City, Ford unveiled its first Mustang. After that, we put a man on the moon, defeated communism and invented Doritos Locos tacos. Fifty years on, the Mustang still purrs and America reigns supreme.
    Happy birthday, Mustang! The presents are all ours, of course, in the form of the 2015 Ford Mustang 50th Anniversary Edition. Only 1,964 will be released this fall and your color choices are limited to Wimbledon White—pictured here, and the color of the very first Mustang off the line—or a dark blue Ford calls Kona. It’s based on the 5.0-liter V8 GT coupé and comes with the Performance pack as standard that includes Brembo calipers, 19-inch wheels and top-grade Pirelli rubber. Six-speed automatic and manual transmission options are available.
     The inside is all class—think cashmere and leather seats, cashmere-and-suede floor mats, and cashmere stitching on the steering wheel and instrument panel. Pricing information—and a further swelling of American pride—to be released this fall when it becomes available.
